Scope and Contents

Noble comments in this catalogue: All buildings in Nobson Newtown are seen in the oblique projection (sometines called cavalier projection) that is, with a flat frontal plane and side planes that retreat parallel to each other at 45 degrees from left to right. Everything is equally close to the eye. Nothing is in the background, mid-ground or foreground. He adds "I make drawings that sometimes look like buildings but really the buildings are words pictorised or illuminated in pencil. The words are written in a font I designed called nobson. The letter shapes of nobson look like buildings. I write a word in nobson and it becomes a place. I write TENT and it is a tent." -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
